The Radical Challenge is a one-year commitment that Immanuel Baptist Church is undertaking during 2011. The goal of the Radical Challenge is for individuals, families, and our faith family to spend our lives together for the sake of the church, the lost, and the poor around the world to the glory of God.

1.  Pray For The World
Join people from every nation, praying for people in every nation, sign up now and pray that the glory of God would fill the earth! You will receive daily prayer reminders for a different country or need somewhere in the world. Through your prayers, you will change lives and nations.

Join the Operation World Facebook page and Twitter for daily prayer updates and feedback from the Operation World global community.

2.  Read Through The Bible
Below you will find information to help you read through the entire Bible this year during the Radical Challenge.

Our Bible Reading Plan is based on the book ”Read the Bible for Life” by Dr. George Guthrie. ”Read the Bible for Life” contains commentary and useful tools to help you as you read chronologically through the Bible.  For more information, visit ReadtheBibleforLife.com.

3.  Join a Small Group
Through the Radical Challenge we want to connect every member to an on-going small group where they can experience spiritual community, life transformation, and intentionally join others in making disciples locally and globally.

4.  Sacrifice your money for a specific purpose
For the next year, we will look at all of our expenses as a church, individuals and families through the lens of specific need in the world. We will work to set a cap on our lifestyles so that we can free up as much of our resources as possible for the sake of the glory of Christ in His church, among the lost, and among the poor.

But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.”  2 Samuel 24:24

5.  Spend Your Time In Another Context
A vital part of the Radical Challenge is to give 2% of our year and spend it in another context. We want to spend our lives for the sake of God’s glory among all nations.
